GINGIVAL RECESSIONS ROOT COVERAGE
Exposed tooth roots are the result of gingival recession. Root coverage surgery will repair the defect and help to prevent additional recession and bone loss. Root coverage surgery is designed to cover exposed roots, to reduce further gum recession and to protect vulnerable roots from decay. This may reduce tooth sensitivity and improve esthetics of your smile. During the surgery, your periodontist takes graft from your palate or soft tissue substitute biomaterials to cover the exposed root. This can be done for one tooth or several teeth in order to achieve original gum line and reduce sensitivity.

CROWN LENGTHENING
Crown lengthening is the periodontal procedure performed to improve a "gummy smile" in case when the teeth of the patient appear short. The teeth are have the proper lengths, but they're covered with too much gum tissue. During the dental crown lengthening procedure, excess gum and bone tissue is reshaped to expose more of the natural tooth. This can be done to one tooth, to even your gum line, or to several teeth to expose a natural, broad smile. Crown lengthening recommended to make a restorative or cosmetic dental procedure possible, in case if your tooth is decayed, broken below the gum line, or has insufficient tooth structure for a restoration, such as a crown or bridge. Crown lengthening adjusts the gum and bone level to expose more of the tooth so it can be restored.

KERATINIZED GINGIVA AUGMENTATION
In order to provide daily oral hygiene and to maintain long-term gum health the presence of keratinized and attached gingiva around the teeth and implants is very important. If there is not enough gum present, donor gingival tissue from the palate of the patient ("gold standard") or substitute biomaterials are used to increase the volume of the gingiva.
